Manitoba kicks off 2019 with new invitations to Express Entry candidates.

Manitoba had a great start this year as almost 626 invitations were issued across three MPNP immigration streams in January 17 draw to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence. Various streams in Manitoba including the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, Skilled Workers Overseas, Skilled Workers in Manitoba and International Education Streams issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in the recent January 17 draw.

Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) are issued to candidates in these categories. A total of 394 letters were issued in the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream. 27 additional Skilled Workers Overseas candidates were invited through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The MPNP program however issued 232 candidates in the MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba and International Educations stream. The MPNP also issued 200 LAA’s too skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates with scores as low as 650. Also, an additional 32 invitations went to International Education Stream candidates. This stream provides faster pathways to permanent residence for international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions who possess appropriate skills required by the employers in the province.

Manitoba’s Express Entry pathway is also linked to the federal Express Entry system and it helps candidates to apply for three Federal High Skilled economic immigration programs. Candidates also receive an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking score, helping them to secure permanent residency.
