The positions provided by the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs for the Victoria’s skilled visa nomination program for the year 2019-20 are complete which marks the closure of the same.

Both the Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) are a part of this.

Only the applications received before 28 May 2020 will be considered for assessment for the year 2019-20. Whereas new applications will be acknowledged in 2020-21. Since the major COVID-19 outbreak has turned out to be a challenge for the world, Victoria is also facing extreme economic and health challenges. To react to the same, precedence will be given to the occupations in the disciplines critical to the pandemic in assigning the left over nomination positions.

It is suggested to re-apply in the upcoming new program year for which candidates will be provided with automatic waiver, where they won’t have to wait for six months to re-apply.

Before you actually re-apply, make sure you are aware of all the requirements.
