International student graduates who are in process of Post-Graduation Work Permit decision can now travel outside Canada and still maintain their suitability to work full time once they arrive back

International student degree holder will no longer need to be in Canada while their Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is in operation.

As of February 21, graduates who are qualified to work all day without a work permit will be able to keep up their ability to operate lawfully in Canada even if they depart and comeback to the country.

International students have undergo an application process for their PGWP before their study permit expires in order to get permit to work full time.

It can take up to of 90 days for a Post-Graduation Work Permit conclusion to go through.

In order to work onshore without work permit, PGWP candidates must reassure the following requirements:

• They held a valid study permit at the time of the Post Study Work Permit application.
• They have concluded their study program and obtained a degree, diploma or certificate
• They were full-time students enrolled at a designated learning institution in a post-secondary, vocational or professional training program of at least six months in duration.
• They did not work more than 20 hours per week during their study program that is allotted to students during their study period
