French-speaking express entry candidates issued new invitations by Ontario

Ontario has issued new invitations to apply for PNP for permanent residency status to French speaking express entry candidates.

OINP recently issued 189 invitations through this stream in 2019, a total of 61 invitations were issued on February 7th by the immigration system.

This stream will help to select French speaking candidates in the express entry, federal skilled workers, class skilled workers or CCE, with proper abilities and eligible skilled work experience.

This system is Canada's main source for foreign skilled labour and manages the pool of candidates for the other categories including worker and experience classes. Candidates are ranked in this pool based on scores on the basis of age, skilled work experience, proficiency in English or French, education and others. Candidates with the highest ranks are invited further for PR status.

Candidates with provincial nomination are granted an additional 600 points towards their ranking score which helps them to guarantee PR status.

Ontario's French speaking skilled worker stream has 2 advantages, one being that it doesn't require a job offer in Ontario and secondly, it doesn't require a CRS score. Candidates are just required to understand, read, write and speak French at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7. Ontario has now issued a remarkable number of 189 to apply through French speaking skilled worker stream 2019.
